My Klepons recipes – in support to DEC

Spread the love

Hey lovely people

On this giving Tuesday, I am supporting Disasters Emergency Committee, to help them continuing to raise founds for the 200,000 people affected by the Indonesian tsunami. Together and with your help, we are collecting founds that will be dispatched across 14 leading UK charities – including Oxfam, British Red Cross and Action against Hunger – to bring clean water, first aid and emergency shelters for the victims.

Who are DEC?

I always find it is difficult to select one charity to support when there is a big emergency. When DEC reached out to me, I liked their approach. The fact that I wasn’t going to help one charity, but 14, was really a plus. The appeals are launched usually twice a year (sadly three times last year) when there is a big emergency in the world. When the crisis is huge and all of the charities need to help, they group efforts together and use DEC to raise funds.

You have probably heard about the Indonesian tsunami that happened a month ago, and DEC has already managed to raise 24 millions pounds thanks to their effort. If you want to hear more about where this money goes and how the local victims are doing, follow the link: https://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/indonesia-tsunami-appeal

How can you help too?

But we do still need your help! We pulled effort together to film our Klepon recipes to share it with you, hoping you could help raising money by organise a bake sale, in the office, around your family or locally 🙂 We have put a charity pack for you to download where you will find my recipes and some tips on how to make it successful! Klepons are these cute soft balls filled with wither solid sugar or white chocolate ganache ( I have to say they are surprisingly delicious! ). They are also the quickest and easiest bake to make, so I challenge every single non bakers here 🙂  Don’t forget to share on social media with the hashtag #ManonsXmaschallenge

Thank you for them!

Manon xx
